Johnnie Bronson was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Delaware Valley High School. Next, he went to the National School of Health Technology where he graduated on the honor roll with an 88.0 GPA. Johnnie started writing poetry in 1996. He performed spoken word in 1998 at Warmdaddy’s Night Club in Center City Philadelphia. Also in 1998, he performed spoken word at the Apollo Theater in New York City and received rave reviews and came in second place. Johnnie was featured in the National Library of Poetry for outstanding achievement in 1997 and 1998. Johnnie also performed at Brave New World’s Poetry/Jazz session in 1999. In 2015, Johnnie published his first book called “Poems to Love For” through the Shamonj Gifts LLC publishing company.
